The Way of the King

Cross palms

During my quiet time this morning I thought about Jesus and his prophecy fulfilling donkey ride into Jerusalem. I imagined myself in the crowd, straining to catch a glimpse of the King, hoping that he would notice me, praying he would hear my personal cry above the crowd's. If I was Jewish, I would be shouting..."Hoshana, Hoshana" a Hebrew word meaning please save or save now. It's a good word to shout.

In the still of the morning, alone in my living room, no crowds, no donkey, no dusty streets...just me and the King. My spirit is shouting...Hoshana!

He sees me
He hears me

Here is my response to His presence...

The Way of the King

Hoshana!
Save now!
Hoshana!
Save now!
I lay down before you
You don't walk over me
or around me
You walk over to me
Raising me
Freeing me
Saving me
For this is the way
of the King

He hears you…He sees you…and His love is a reach-down and pick you up type of love. I pray that you can know that in a deeper way today.

Blessings,
Jay

Powerful post jay!  you also threw me with Brooke Ligertwood.  I had to google it and found out she is now married and still uses Brooke Fraser but her married name is Ligertwood.  Be that as it may: thanks for this today. What a great way to prepare for Resurrection Sunday.

My husband walked in when I was listening to the song and asked why I had it.  I told him it was from your post.  He said he had heard it at church [a couple worship team members practicing it for Sunday] and how much he liked it.  It was obvious, because his face showed joyousness.  You blessed me by seeing him being blessed.... and the blessings can continue for us all.  What a blessing!  [I don't think I could ever use that word too many times...]

Blessing is indeed a wonderful word and you are certainly one to many in the Kingdom!
