Bread-and-Fish

Satisfied

I taste the dust of the crowd
but I long for the taste of bread

Hunger directs my senses

I pushed through the crowd

I listen to hope

On a hillside,words of life
become bread for my soul

A basket, full of bread and fish
pass almost unnoticed

I am satisfied

Amen Jay -- nothing satisfies like His presence

I have bread you don't know about... It's as true today as it was when Jesus said it. Amen, Jay. I feel the satisfaction in this! Thanks so much.

We all long for that satisfaction -- it's hole in our hearts that only the "bread" (and "wine") can fill. Good one, Jay.

We do long for that and it's a powerful one, thanks Glynn!

I love your take on this. Honestly, I drew a blank when it came to writing a poem on this subject. Hey, there's always the next one!
