Themes of Life - Poetry

Themes of Life

The tone
The rhythm
The pace
A life story measured
in heartbeats
Proclamations of intent
Visions seen and unseen
For I am a teller of tales
and a collector of songs
Compositions for the
Themes of Life

Focused realities quietly
test the blur of dreams
But themes of life are loud
They dance with words
They shout for attention
and sing with wonder
Embracing a purer will
than their own

In the whisper of moments
you can hear their melodies
Even in the shadows of memories
you can see them
Outlasting failure's gripe
and plead for clemency
Father's verdict of truth
power the themes of life

"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."

Amen. His truth and righteous judgment determines our course and sets our theme. All we have to do is trust Him and surrender. Thank you, Jay. Feeling the wind of the Holy Spirit on this!

I echo Jason's comment. He is the power of my life. He is my theme.

Jay, such a blessing to see you writing creatively.  I used to be poetic and writing lyrics ... for some reason that seems to have slid away.  Heavy sigh!  [If it ever hits again, you'll be bugged by me very, VERY quickly!]

Thanks Joanne...you need to dust off that gift and get busy! Bless ya!
