Heartfelt

heart1-1 copy During my prayer time this morning I felt that God was warning about giving our hearts away. There are many, many things that will ask you for your heart today. Some will even demand it from you. Circumstances, trials, fears, are the biggest culprits. The temptation to settle for something less than God's best for you is a loud one. Can I encourage you with this? Our hearts belong to the Father, first and foremost...and forever. Don't let anything else try to steal your heart away from pursing Him with all you have...guard your heart. I'm praying for you.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." Proverbs 4:23

Would have helped to have read this before my bike ride this morning. Earlier today was not a good emotional day.

It's so true. Demands of life and the distractions of this world want to lead us away from His love and presence, but we have a choice and we can continue to follow Him. Amen, Jay. Thank you.

Great call Jay! The moment we compromise or surrender what doesn't belong to us, what has been bought and paid for, the transactions complete, we are in default... and the pain is forthcoming. Staying true to He who owns us is the path of wisdom. I haven't given this much thought, but needed a reminder and reminder to my kids. Thanks.

I feel it even more today bro'...so many of my friends being tempted to give their heart away to lesser things. It does wake me up to where my heart lies...thanks bro'!

I've always done that in the past, with miserable results. So I've learned to always give my heart to God on a daily basis. Thanks Jay!

Great post, Jay. Although my mother's heart was given away 25 years ago...and just said farewell to my baby boy (19) who will be en route to UTAH on a solo trip tonight...Godspeed Daniel. Thanks for your prayers, Jay!
