Poetically Expressing Myself - Daylight

Daylight

I chew on the crust of a
broken dream.
Trying to follow the crumbs
back to the beginning.

When did it become a fairy tale?
A fable?
A tall tale of adventure in the woods,
lost and alone,
instead of revelation?

I face the wolf of failure
with an axe of my own.
It is not a quick end but it is
quick enough.

I see with daylight
in my vision.
Bringing this dream to
an end.

Thanks Karin! Funny, this just came to me yesterday...not really sure if it means anything but I'm praying about it as well. Sometimes God uses poetry to get at my heart.

HFF expressed my thoughts Jay.  Just wondering if I should try to "read into this" and interpret it in some way or just take it as poetry.  :)  Only you and the Father knows for sure.

I know this poem "sounds" harsh but I actually felt good writing it...some dreams need to die. I'm sure God is still speaking to me about it all...thanks bro'

Love your use of word imagery here.  Sounds like something I would write and even more - something I can understand - because I've been there.
