Like Mary – Christmas Poetry
"It is a mistake to try to look too far ahead. The chain of destiny can only be grasped one link at a time."
- Sir Winston Churchill
Not sure if it's a mistake or not but looking ahead at the expense of the present can be frustrating at best. I am looking forward to the 1st of the year, not because I a big fan of the whole New Years gig (I'm not), but because I sense a huge change for me is near. I'm not ready to reveal just what that may be (soon, I promise) and I don't want to lose sight of this special season in front of me. So, as I reflect on what's yet to come, I need to focus of who already came...It's time for more poetry. I hope it blesses you as you read this simple offering and I pray in a small way it helps you focus on a God who so loved...He gave. Blessings, Jay

I sing like the Angels
needing the joy
I bear a shepherds heart
needing the hope
I seek like the Magi
needing the truth
I ponder like Mary
needing the peace

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. - Isaiah 7:14
