My Song, My Heart
I love poetry…not sure how good I am at writing it, but I do enjoy the musing of it all. Poetry is a cleansing of the soul for me and frees the breath from my lungs. Every once in a while, poetry turns into a song…I wish I could write music but alas, that gifting I did not receive. So, here is a song…use whatever melody the Holy Spirit places in your mind and voice and sing it to Him. I hope it blesses you.
Peace, Jay
My Heart Is My Psalm To You
Trials deepen my faith and
makes wide my view
Leaning on promises, always
proven true
Although sorrow seeks only
to bend my frame
Such pain can not hold me as I
call on your name
(Chorus)
My heart is my psalm to you
Praising your name in all I do
Humbly I come, just as I am
My heart is my psalm to you
The sweetness of laughter,
the bitter taste of tears
Bold steps of faith and
the measure of fears
My life filled with the
cost and the call
Securely placed in the
surrender of all, my all
My heart is my psalm to you
Praising your name in all I do
Humbly I come, just as I am
My heart is my psalm to you
Hiding my face in the depths of your love
I'm made whole by being undone
Poured out and spent, empty of me
now filled with the fullness of the Son
My heart is my psalm to you
Praising your name in all I do
Humbly I come, just as I am
My heart is my psalm to you
