The Pulse of God

GOD is my strength; GOD is my song, and, yes! GOD is my salvation. This is the kind of God I have and I'm telling the world! This is the God of my father-- I'm spreading the news far and wide! Exodus 15:2 (The Message)

There is a rhythm to God’s ways, an order, a vibration, and a hum that seeks to tune us to notes of His heart. We are drawn to this chorus by an imparted genetic harmony resonating deep in our hearts. This is the pulse of God in us…our hearts synchronizing, in beat, with His. Measure by measure, the tone of our lives echo the purposes of the Master

When we lose our place, our rhythm and find it difficult to follow His lead…He is there. When our hearts are out of tune with His…He retunes us to the correct pitch. He conducts with grace; He orchestrates with love and arranges all for our good. The tempo of our lives is restored and our voice returns.

Life is a chorus of work and rest, challenge and triumph, pain and pleasure…life plays with our heartstrings. For me, it pays to know the music the Master is playing. Knowing the score harmonizes my life and helps me feel the pulse of God in me. Here I begin to sense my register, my range of faith and understand the extent of my rubato, my measure of freedom I have in Him.

I like the way that sounds…

What about you…do you feel the pulse of God inside you? Can you feel the subtle vibrations of His presence in your walk?

There have been times that I haven't but this is not one of those times.  i definitely sense the pulse of God within.  I have been preparing sermons on Unmasking God and it has literally taken my breath away as I discover anew about the character of God.  I sense a resonation within and can only pray the people I preach to begin to sense it also.  Good to hear your words again Jay.

Excellent.  Fresh look at my HIMnal. Pulse, rhythm.  I'll carry this through the day, probably longer.  Hey, maybe I'll toss that in my book.  How's yours coming?

Yes - especially when I take walks and have no other distractions.  And when I'm quietly lying down at night I get my best thoughts - and I know it's from Him so much of the time :)

Walks and talks with God are the best aren't they? Thanks Cindy!

There are times when it is more evident than others ... perhaps because I'm not quiet enough.

You're speaking my language, Jay! Yes, I feel the pulse and it's incredible to be a part of. I'm so thankful. Thanks Jay.

I agree.  And we walk through so much on every day's events, thoughts, "intentions."  I must, every day, focus only on the Lord and HIS way in my life and HIS plans for me.

Amen and amen...that's connecting to His heart!
